13 Mar Nicole Rice Certified Personal Trainer – Body Design University, Bachelor of Science in Nutrition – Purdue University, Nutritional Counseling, Meal Plans/ Recipe ideas, Macronutrient assistance Hello! My name is Nicole Rice and I have my bachelor of science in Nutrition degree and am also a certified personal trainer with a specialization in advanced nutrition. When I was 10 years old I learned I had a bunch of food allergies. Ever since then, I have had to pay attention to what I’m consuming, which led me to have a stronger understanding and interest of nutrition from a young age. In my first year of college, I had no idea what I was going for, but I liked to write so I planned on taking this as an elective. The night before classes began, I just knew I had no interest in this writing class, and my mom suggested taking a nutrition class instead. I am so glad I did because I absolutely fell in love with it. I became so fascinated with learning all the details. A month later I enrolled in personal training school as well, because fitness and nutrition go hand in hand! I’ve taken sports nutrition, vegetarian cooking, nutrition for special populations, food science, recipe planning classes, and more. Now that I’ve finished my degree, I am so excited to share this passion with everyone else. Whether you are wanting to lose or gain weight, eat out less, or whatever lifestyle and nutrition goals you have, I am here to help. She joined Rain City Fitness in 2018. Through the years, Sarah has created Function Yoga, a practice built on a strong foundation of safety and awareness that supports your long-term mobility and health. Functional Yoga creates body proprioception (an understanding of your bodies location, movements, and actions) while nurturing mobility that you then apply to your life off your mat. During my first teacher training I was experiencing the depth of my depression. Through yoga I found a space that sustains healing and nurtures self-love. I am grateful for going through depression because it gave me the empathy used in teaching my clients. Yoga is an inward evolution. I honor where you are in the moment with no expectation or judgment. I hold this space for you while showing you how to practice greeting yourself with the same compassion. I find that my calling in life is to be of service to others through holistic techniques and traditions. My goal is to leave you relaxed, rejuvenated, empowered and in control every time. “Your body is not you, but it is yours.” In Gratitude, Sarah Haynes Find Sarah on Instagram @inroot.today Posted at 00:53h in by raincityfitness_admin 0 Comments 0 Likes Read More
